Rochester, NY – April 28, 2024 – The Dogra Art Foundation is pleased to announce the successful completion of its inaugural lecture series, “Bridging Continents: Exploring South Asian Art.” The series featured an enlightening lecture by Dr. Madhuvanti Ghose Alsdorf, Associate Curator of Indian, Southeast Asian, and Himalayan Arts of Asia at The Art Institute of Chicago. The lecture, “In Service to Krishna: The Artists of the Temple Town of Nathdwara, Rajasthan,” was held on April 27, 2024, at the Memorial Art Gallery.
We were honored to welcome Representative Joe Morelle as our chief guest. In addition, we had the privilege of hosting Sibu Nair, representing the Governor’s office, and Ms. Shruti Pandey, IFS, representing the Indian Consulate General’s office in New York.
